Salesforce recently added a feature where it allows SFDC admins to create dedicated integration users with no extra cost. It is now a best practice to use them for integrations. The idea is to add support to DocGen for SFDC to so that these integration users can be configured in the admin console. Please see the attached screenshot for what exactly I have in mind.
I've tried using an integration user here. The first obstacle I ran into was that the required profile could not be assigned because it included access to a VF page, which integration users don't allow.
Also, authorising Nintex with this user would need to be streamlined. My attempt was a bit of a hack.
We support this idea and have the same basic result it's described above. There's an enterprise user I don't need to use a dedicated enterprise license that cost around $1500 a year where the newer integration license we get 5 free licenses, consequently there's no cost.
